Worlk Continues to prepare the Twitchell-Rowland Homestead
for opening later this year.
A
"First Look" day in October will give residents a chance to view the
interior of the building and see photos and videos of the house being
moved from its previous location on Christian Street to its present
location. The move enabled the Society to preserve the 1755 era
building which would have otherwise been demolished.
The Society
is making plans for a "Grand Opening" in April fo 2012, when the
exhibits on the history of area agriculure, water power technology and
local mills, and the history of Oxford will be on display.

The Oxford Historical Society has received many class
photographs from Oxford Center School. The photographs are being
scanned and filed for preservation in our archives. Residents
are asked to help identify the students and teachers in the
